Another popular YouTuber, Matt Hoss, once charged the couple with using a major fraction of his content without any acknowledgment. Ethan and Hila announced that they’ve been sued on their YouTube channel.
Their loyal fans and other YouTubers donated over $170k to a GoFundMe account opened by another YouTuber, DeFranco. This funded their lawsuit. Fortunately, the U.S District Judge, Katherine Forrest, ruled that the video was “fair use as a matter of law,” and they won the legal battle.
